IIBEC Elects New Board of Directors

A project manager with Roof Systems Consultants, Jared Mellor has more than 15 years of experience in construction. Jared Mellor also holds membership in several professional organizations, such as the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), which recently elected its 2020 board of directors.

The new board was elected on March 30 at the IIBEC Annual Meeting of the Members, which took place virtually for the first time in its history. The vote typically takes place during the institute’s Annual Convention and Trade Show, although this was postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virtual meeting attracted 481 participants, which IIBEC notes is the largest attendance in its history. Alongside the board, Amy Peevey was elected secretary and treasurer. She is the first woman to be elected to the executive committee. In 2019, Jennifer Hogan was elected as the organization’s first female board member.

The newly-elected members will hold their positions for a year, following which the IIBEC will hold another election.
